Flux Bugtracker

The issue tracker is provided in the google code repository.

Submitting a bug report

All users are welcome to report abnormal or unexpected behavior of the provided libraries. Before submitting a bug report, the following points should be considered:

  • Redundancy amongst reports within the Flux Project should be avoided, therefore existing reports about issues and requests for enhancements should be checked for similarities. To this end google code provides a search function, and for searching focus should be extended to "All issues" in order to include issues that were assumed to be resolved. If applicable, observations should be appended to existing issues, a new bug report should be filed only if no other entry so far reports on similar observations.

  • Whereas read access is granted for everybody, write access to the issue tracking system at google code requires a google account. Unfortunately, this requirement cannot be disabled. Users who do not want to create or provide their google account are welcome to send their reports directly to the developers. Furthermore, users should consider whether their report actually addresses an issue of the program−an obvious error or request for enhancement−or, whether they have questions on the functionality of the program that rather should be posted in the forum.

  • Reports should include the specific library that caused the problem, for instance the Flux Capacitor or the Flux Simulator. Furthermore, the corresponding version of the library as stated in the download repository should be included. The form of a report is arbitrary, however, sufficiently detailed instructions are to be included so that programmers can reproduce the aberrant behavior themselves.
